Lovingly referred to as “The Meat Place” by the TEFL students I´ve met here, no doubt to distinguish it from “The Vegetarian Place” which is the good-food-cheap place closest to the program´s building, is great for browsing and trying out new typical home-made dishes. The woman who runs it is super friendly and serves everything up with a proud smile. I went for the empanadas de carne which were delicious, with a sweet, extremely flavorful ground beef filling.
